I like the 3rd from the top and the bottom one from that new batch. The bottom one has really strong lines while the 3rd from the top would likely be my favorite if you reinforced your line of action a bit more and really worked on the negative space/silhouette.

Lol, that's the one you said it felt primal, the only connection to The Spirit, was the word i put in there.

Somewhere between these two. The top is a bit constricted. The bottom lacks the grace of the top but has better attitude.

Why, yes, you did. Page 1 post 1.

This has no actual connection to the Spirit other than a play on the name of the Octopus. Now, because we never get to see anything of the Octopus other than his hands we don't know that it isn't the Octopus... but, it's nothing the Eisner estate can claim other than the word "Spirit".

I say, no, I DEMAND that Josem change that name to: the Squid, Capt Cephlapod, Mr Inky, Tentacle Tom, the Detective from 20,000 Fathoms... anything... and the hell out of it!

    This is genius!

Thanks again Smitty, that will boost my " Spirit " for a long time. Loved the names you came up with.

    Oh, I did see this.

I agree. He should make this his own. It's great!
