    Don't have a snappy title.

Trying this again. Wasn't sure what sort of stuff to post here, before.

A team of heroes created by a friend on DeviantART. I wanted to take my time and do a tightly pencilled piece. I used up most of my energy on the lower three characters which is probably pretty obvious.

Very cool sketch blog! I love sketch pages -- more of those, if you have them!

Who would you say your big influences are?

Thanks, 'grinder. There are so many influences. John Byrne was a huge one back when I first got into comics in the 80's. Since then I've been a fan of all the biggies at one time or another. George Perez, Walt Simonson, Neal Adams. McFarlane, Silvestri, Lee later on. Heck, even Liefeld. Jack Kirby is a big one nowadays but I didn't like his work when I first started drawing.

Yeah, you definitely have an 80s-90s vibe. Cartoony, but with a grimace. :P Do you think any artists in particular are really visible in your work?

Great stuff, I really like the cartoon elements in your work. The faces are killers :-)

I'm not the right person to ask. I think I have a tendency to try and adopt too much style from all the great artists I see which results in my work having no style of its own. But, people have mentioned my work resembling the style of different artists. Of whom, while I might not agree, Ron Lim and Frank Robbins were the most flattering to me because I LOVE their work.

Yeah, I like that one. That's a sumo type hero from a local company I've worked with. They put out a request for an 'epic' picture of him so I went the opposite direction and did something as mundane as I could think of. Breakfast.
