Zelda Link's Awakening for April 2014 Pummel

The theme for April 2014's Pummel match was Zelda, so I chose the entry I have the fondest memories for: Link's Awakening. I was torn for a while about choosing a favourite scene, but after watching a documentary about Drew Struzan I went for the poster. I also tried out Loomis's informal composition approach.

Hansel and Gretel Pummel Entry

February's Pummel taught me a valuable lesson about how long it takes to produce a page and time management. I went from five to three to one planned pages! Below is the final product, which I inked with a brush, alongside some more preparation work.

Preparation for February 2014 Pummel

The theme was a modern day Grimm's fairy tale. Of course, I haven't left myself enough time for what I'm planning with a busy couple of weeks coming up, but I'll get something in. My choice was Hansel & Gretel (albeit with 21 century names!)
